This morning, I presented joint work with Simon Wells from Edinburgh Napier University at the 5th European Conference on Argumentation. The talk was entitled "Retreival-Augmented Generation for Immersive Formal Dialogue", and presented a RAG-based pipeline for generating natural language utterances in a formal dialogue. A paper associated with the talk will be published in the conference proceedings, and available here soon.

I'm delighted to announce that I have been appointed Senior Lecturer in the School of Computing, Engineering and Technology at RGU.
I'm enormously grateful to the friends and colleagues who've supported me in achieving this, and look forward to the challenges and opportunities the role will bring.

The EPSRC-funded DiSCoAI project officially got underway at the start of this month. The 3-year project aims to develop the tools, theories and technologies required to allow formal dialogue to underpin complex, domain-specific conversational systems.
